COVID-19 Update

As of this week with everything starting to reopen we will begin to have services at the Funeral Home. We are still practicing social distancing by seating every other row as well as other precautionary measures as needed or requested by our families. If you have questions regarding a service please feel free to contact us.   Lois Mooney, age 99, of Liberal, MO passed away November 27, 2019, at Truman Healthcare Center, Lamar, MO.

   Lois was born March 10, 1920 in Verdella, MO to Rolla B. Fast and Katie (Pomatto) Fast. She graduated from Liberal High School. On May 11, 1941, Lois married Neil Mayer Mooney in Liberal, MO.
   Lois worked as a secretary for the Liberal School System as well as Liberal City Utilities. She also was an AVON Representative and had worked at Hedge's Grocery Store. She was a member of Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, and Christian Woman's Fellowship, and enjoyed needle work, crochet, and was a seamstress, but her family was her greatest treasure, especially being called "Nanny" by her grandchildren.
   Survivors include a son, Robert Neil Mooney, Pittsburg, KS; a daughter, Marianne Lois (Kyle) Page, Liberal, MO; five grandchildren, Katie Page, Abbey Collier, Haley Page, David Mooney and Jason Mooney; as well as eight great-grandchildren.  Preceding her in death were her husband Neil Mooney; four brothers, Dale Fast, Gerald, Fast Glenn Fast and Karl Fast; a sister Erma Fast; and a daughter-in-law Deidre Mooney.
   Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Liberal City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday at the funeral home. 
   Contributions are suggested and made payable Liberal R-2 School District or the Christian Church of Liberal, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.

Dear Friends, Robert, Marianne, Kyle and all the family of Lois and Neil.... I share your sorrow in Lois's passing, and I share your peace because of her faith in Christ Jesus. Thank you for all the fond memories of good times and we'll look forward to that time when we can all get together around the Throne of God and rejoice forever and ever.

I enjoyed taking care of her at Maple Senior living. She always enjoyed the sun rises from here window and every once in a while she would say something silly. She will be missed . My deepest condolence for your lost .
