COVID-19 Update

As of this week with everything starting to reopen we will begin to have services at the Funeral Home. We are still practicing social distancing by seating every other row as well as other precautionary measures as needed or requested by our families. If you have questions regarding a service please feel free to contact us. Larry Douglas "Doug" Hibdon, age 80, of Wheatland, MO passed on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his home after a long illness.

Doug was born December 26, 1939 in Arlington, CA to Olen Oliver Hibdon and Hope Geraldine (Lamb) Hibdon. He graduated from Carthage High School in the class of 1957 and on October 19, 1958 he married Marcia Joanne Fitzpatrick in Perris, CA and together they raised three children.

Doug worked as a Superintendent at Guy's Foods in Liberty, MO before retiring to Lake Pomme de Terre. Doug enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting but mostly his large family.

Survivors include his children, son Larry & Linda Hibdon of Platte City, MO, and grandkids Nikki Hibdon & Frank Sola, Zach & Becky Hibdon, Sarah & Adam Perdue and David and Tara Painter. Daughter Julie McGuire and husband Bear of Wheatland, MO and grandkids Nicholas and Leslie Staffieri, Andrea and Aaron Jones and Shelbie McGuire and fiancé JD Henderson. Daughter Paula Carpenter and Bontey Juwor, Liberty, MO, and grandkids Corporal Tyler Carpenter USMC and Faith Juwor.

Great grandkids from:

Larry and Linda – Gideon Sola and Lizzy Fox, Audrey Reed and Millie Hibdon, Jensen Perdue, Sloane Perdue and Ford Perdue, Zach Painter, Lily Painter, Roman Painter. Poppy Painter and Violet Painter.

Julie and Bear- Leo Staffieri, Bailey Banks, Robbie Banks and Jase Clark, Zoe Clark, Ryder Clark, Lily Jones, Rosy Jones and Holly Jones

Brothers, Ron Hibdon, Jim Hibdon, Reggie Hibdon, Russell Hibdon, Mike Hibdon, Mark Hibdon and one sister Rita Boyd. 

Preceding Doug in death were his wife Joanne, his parents, two brothers, Bob Hibdon and Olen Hibdon Jr. 

A graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020, at Jasper Cemetery near Reeds, MO.
