COVID-19 Update

As of this week with everything starting to reopen we will begin to have services at the Funeral Home. We are still practicing social distancing by seating every other row as well as other precautionary measures as needed or requested by our families. Hildebrand Don

Donald Ernest Hildebrand, age 76, of rural Lamar, MO passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, October 23, 2020.

Don was born January 23, 1944 in Ventura, CA to Floyd Jene and Mildred Frances (Larson) Hildebrand. He graduated from Hueneme High School in Port Hueneme, CA. and received his degree in auto mechanics from Ventura College. On July 28, 1975, he married Christine Girard in Boise, ID. Before retiring, he had worked as the service parts manager at Fletcher Dodge, in Joplin, MO. He also farmed for many years. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting and had a natural talent to fix just about anything.

Surviving are his wife Christine, of the home; two sons, Jodie and wife Misty Hildebrand, Jasper, MO and Jamie Hildebrand, Golden City, MO; a step son, Jerry Avila, Lamar, MO; two daughters, Laura and Michelle, both of the state of Washington; one step daughter, Molly Myers, Galveston, TX; one brother, Bob Hildebrand, Sunnyvale, CA; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
