George Sheat was a mentor along with Max Fields, also an eighth grader, to this shy, blond-haired kid at Harmony rural school. He, along with younger brother David and sister Norma were classmates and good friends on the playground. We all attempted to meet the standards of Mrs. Grace Davisson in her strict, no-nonsense teaching methods. George continued a friend beyond school years in the Lamar community. My condolences to the family at the loss of a dear husband, father and grandfather.

George Sheat was a mentor along with Max Fields for this shy, blond-haired kid at Harmony rural school. He, younger brother David and sister Norma were friends at that school as we tried our best to accommodate Mrs. Grace Davisson in her strict, no-nonsense manner of teaching. George remained a friend after school days in the Lamar area. Condolences to family for loss of a dear husband and father.

Thinking of you all with fond memories. The Sheat family were very good neighbors, friends and fellow church members to the McKee family.
