I have many fond memories of Berne and wish I would have spent more time with him and family over the last decades. I am grateful I was able to visit Berne and Helen a few years ago. Every Christmas I think about us cutting our own Christmas trees at Berne and Helen's place at Windy Peaks when I was a kid. I remember Starla getting married and having family all around. I remember visiting Berne and Helen in Coolidge and them coming to our new house in Tucson as we were just starting our family. Berne was an extremely honest and hard working man and never had a bad thing to say. I look forward to seeing him and other friends and relatives in Jesus' presence.

I am so heartbroken to hear about Berne's passing. He was such a kind, gentle man. He will be missed. Helen and the rest of the family are in my prayers.
