Frances Hill 3

Frances Elizabeth (Rolando) Hill, age 65, of Lamar, Missouri passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at  M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Frances was born February 12, 1956 near Deerfield, Missouri, in the family car on the way to the Fort Scott Hospital.  She was ninth of the 12 children of Herchal and Maude (Sisseck) Rolando.

Scott for a short time, and retired after nine years at Thorco in Lamar.  She was a natural and selfless caregiver whose greatest pleasure came from time spent nurturing, teaching, and unconditionally loving friends and family, especially her grandkids.  She had an abundance of love for animals and considered her Maltese/Yorkie, Sassy, an important member of the Hill family.  Frances was an active member of Lamar First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis, of the home; her mother-in-law, Agnes Ruth Hill, Pittsburg, Kansas: two sons, Jason Hill (Amber Gorman) of Anderson, Missouri, and Jeremy (Candy) Hill of Lamar; a daughter, Stacie (Dustin) Read of Lamar; three brothers, Joe Rolando, Colorado, Tony (Anita) Rolando and Terry Rolando, Nevada, Missouri; five sisters, Pansy (Ted) Legall, Clinton, Missouri, Ruthie Hopkins, Kansas City, Missouri, Joyce (Jim) Gregg, Nevada, Patty Gibbs, El Dorado Springs, Missouri, and Kathy (Danny) Davis, Fort Scott; a sister-in-law, Diane (Sam) Johnson, Fort Scott; and a brother-in-law, Dallas (Tami) Hill, Girard, Kansas.  Frances will be deeply missed by her nine grandchildren, Doran Hill, Joplin, Missouri, Katelynn Hill, Columbia, Missouri, Dylan (Coti) Hill, North Pole, Alaska, Lilly Hill, Lamar, Tabi Swatosh, Pensacola, Florida, Maddy Swatosh, Blake Swatosh, Sebastian Read and Phiona Read all of Lamar.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clinton Rolando, two sisters; Susie Evans and Deann Farmer, her father-in-law, R.L. Hill and her four-legged constant companion, Cuddles.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21st, at Lamar First Christian Church with burial to follow in Bluff Cemetery.
