On September 29,
2016 Katie Rutledge and Russell Barnes welcomed Adam Roy Barnes into this world
along with his older brother, Ethan Blake Rutledge. Adam had a smile that
lit up a room and his giggle warmed your heart. Adam loved the sound of his
mama’s voice as she sang "Adam's Song" and he shared a special bond
in the arms of his daddy listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival. His life
was a brief gift to us that will live on, as his heart valves were donated and received
by two babies in need.
On March 7th, 2017
Adam was welcomed to his homecoming celebration in heaven by Roy and Cheryl
Barnes (Paternal grandparents), Wally and Doris Alden (Maternal great
grandparents), William Whitehead (Maternal great grandfather) and an uncle,
Brian Barnes.
Adam was
loved and will be missed by his grandparents Todd and Lea Ellen Whitehead and
Kay-Lynn Alden (Maternal) and Jack and Barbara Winningham (Paternal), Beverly
Whitehead (Maternal Great Grandmother) Aunts Chelsea (David) O'Shea, Emma
Whitehead, Jennifer (Carl) Renner and Amber (Andrew Smith) Barnes and his
Uncles Dylan Whitehead and Aaron (Amyrose) Barnes, and numerous extended family
and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11th, at Daniel Funeral Home followed by a committal service and balloon release at Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
