Anna Fay Mullins, age 75, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Truman Healthcare Center where she had been a resident for the past year.
Ann was born March 27, 1938, at Pottersville, Missouri, to Clarence and Nadine (Arnold) May. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jimmy Dale Williams, Burl May, and David May; two sisters, Vivian May and Jane Swafford; a son, Harold Stephen Counts in 2007; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to being a homemaker and mother to her seven children, Ann had worked as a cook at Phebe’s Guest House and Truman Healthcare, while it was known as Chastain’s and Lakeview Nursing Home. She had also worked at Big Smith and Vantage Point through the years.
Survivors include her children, Connie Foster, Lamar, Dennis Counts, Sheldon, Vicky Rutledge, El Dorado Springs, John Shreve, Liberal, Melissa Auxier, Liberal, and Rhonda (Matt) Rose, Liberal; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert May, Gainesville, Missouri and DeWayne May, Lyons, Kansas; two sisters, Velvie Curry, Cabool, Missouri, and Evelyn Powell, Crider, Missouri; and a large extended family.
Honoring Ann’s wishes, she has been cremated and the family will celebrate her life with a private service at a later date.
