Arlene Marti

Arlene May (Stewart) Marti, age 92, of Lamar, Missouri passed away April 02, 2019, at St. Luke's Nursing Center, Carthage, MO Arlene was born March 15, 1927 in Lamar, MO to Oscar Stewart and Marie (Peeler) Stewart. She was a graduate from Golden City High School. On September 24, 1948, Arlene married Harold Dean Marti and together they raised five children.  Arlene was a school teacher,  secretary,  waitress at the Blue Top, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother (GIGI) and a devoted christian.Arlene is survived by  two sons, Wayne (Debbie) Marti, Carthage, MO and Ken Marti, Lamar, MO; two daughters, Lu Fanning, Lamar, MO and Connie (Jerald) Lehman, Lamar, MO; a twin sister, Corrine Marti; several nieces and nephews, some even adopted her and called her "Mom"; her grandchildren, Brian (Sharon) Marti, Shannon Marti, Kenya (Josh) Addington, Jennifer Marti, Matthew (Michelle) Fanning, Kyla (Dale) Marshall, Michael (Meghan) Fanning, Candace Marti, Jessica Marti, Brandon (Molly) Marti, Brandon (Brittanii) Lehman, Kelsey (Brandon) Parker; and 30 great grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents, her loving husband, a son Stan Marti, and one sister, Catherine Davis. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 6, 2019,  at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Lamar, Missouri.The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time Saturday,  at the funeral home.  The family asks that you tell a stranger, Arlene says "God Loves You".Contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
