Audrey Marie Baker, age 78, of Asbury, Missouri, passed
away Friday, February 26, 2010 at St. John’s
Regional Medical
Center in Joplin.
Audrey was born October 11, 1931, at Richmond, Michigan,
to Walter and Wanda (Snapke) Juckno. On
May 27, 1972, at Joplin,
Audrey married Jake W. Baker and they had celebrated 32 years together before
his death January 8, 2005. She was also
preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Earl Juckno; a sister, Charlotte; and a step-daughter,
Wanda Sue Cox.
In addition to being a homemaker, Audrey
had worked as a secretary for Tri-State Motors for many years. She and Jake enjoyed traveling and their
family has wonderful memories of their yearly vacations in Canada.
Survivors include two step-sons, Glenn
Baker, Golden City, and Larry Baker, Asbury; a step-daughter, Debbie and her
husband Russell Dean Barrow, Lamar; a brother, Harold Juckno of California; and
five grandchildren, Ryan, Kimberly, Crystal, Laura, and Justin.
A graveside funeral service will be held
at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2nd at Barton City
Cemetery northeast of
Liberal with Mike Gage officiating.
Pallbearers include Glenn Baker, Larry Baker, Russell Dean Barrow,
Crystal Baker, Laura Baker, Justin Barrow, Chris Steward and Mark Steward.
