Bernice Elaine Foger

Bernice Foger, age 92 of Lamar, died Sunday October 24, 2011 at Truman Health Care Center.        Bernice was born June 27, 1919 at Smithfield, West Virginia to John and Mary (Showalter) Brewer.   On April 21, 1940 she married Glen Guy Markley at Pawnee, OK. He died February 12, 1976.  She then married Martin Leroy Foger on January 3, 1978 at Nevada Missouri  He preceded her in death on February 2, 1998.  She was a lifelong Methodist and had most recently attended Verdella Baptist Church.  Bernice was a homemaker and loved to quilt.        Bernice is survived by four sons, Hubert Glenn & Dianna Markley of Lamar, MO, Albert Guy & Janice Markley, of Clever, MO, Jim G. & Lynn Adams of Kennewick, WA, and Raymond Adams of the state of Texas; one sister, Beulah Cales of Winfield, KS; 12 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.        Graveside service for Bernice will be 10:00 am Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO.  Rev. Don Keithly will officiate.        Contributions are suggested to Verdella Baptist Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
