Betty Lee Roe, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of music and love.

Born in 1929, Betty's passion for music began at the young age of five. As a teenager, Betty Lee enjoyed playing in a band with her father, Pat. She continued to pursue her passion and in the 1940's, she brought silent films to life with her piano playing, captivating audiences with her talent and dedication.

Betty's love for music extended beyond performance. She taught piano to countless students, instilling in them the same passion and appreciation for music that she held dear. Her influence as a teacher shaped many lives and left an indelible mark on the community.

For many years, Betty played the organ for the First Baptist Church in Lamar, MO., where her music provided comfort and inspiration to the congregation. Later in life, she delighted audiences in Branson, MO., performing in Dino's Christmas Show.

 On June 14, 1947, Betty married the love of her life, Joe. Together they welcomed one son, David Roe. Her life was enriched by her love for travel, which she shared with her husband, Joe. Together, they explored the world, creating cherished memories along the way.

Betty's life was a symphony of music and adventure. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will continue to resonate through the lives she touched and the music she loved.

Betty is survived by her son, David (Erlinda) Roe; two grandchildren, Ashley (Gregg) Roberts and Jeffrey (Brandy) Roe; five great-grandchildren, Shae Roberts, Brecken (Mika) Roberts, Trace Roberts, Mason Roe, Marlee Roe; four step great-grandchildren, Zyler Leonard, Alaiagha Leonard, Ricky Sewell and Persais Sewell.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe and daughter-in-law, Linda.

 A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Lake Cemetery in Lamar, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Daniel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Lamar, in Betty's honor.
