Beverly Gail Bushnell

Beverly Gail Bushnell, age 85, of Golden City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on February 21, 2025. Born on July 6, 1939, in Lawrence County, Missouri, to Clyde Edward French and Hazel Marie (Rodgers) French. She married John Robert Bushnell, her beloved husband, on December 31, 1964. They shared 47 years together until his passing in 2011.

Beverly lived a life full of love for family and friends and service to the community. She was an active member in the First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing and playing piano. Beverly had a long and distinguished career in banking. She was the first woman to serve on the board of First National Bank in Golden City, eventually becoming Vice President. After her retirement from banking, Beverly continued to serve the community by managing Golden Homes in Golden City for eight years. 

Beverly was known for her sense of humor, lively personality, generosity, and care for others. She always had a listening ear for those in need and was much loved by family and friends.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Bushnell; her nieces: Angie Creek, Lisa Bushnell Moore, and Connie Bushnell Kern; her nephews: Brian Persinger and Evan Bushnell; and many friends who were like family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert; her parents, Clyde and Hazel; and her sister, Terri Persinger.

No services are planned at this time.

Beverly’s memory will live in the hearts of all who knew her, and her strength and compassion will not be forgotten.
