Beverly Kay Ramseyer, age 71, of Lamar, Missouri passed away January 3, 2024, at her home.
Beverly was born August 25, 1952 in Carthage, Missouri to Loyd Victor Miller and Wilma Mabel (Stowell) Miller. Beverly graduated from Golden City High School in the class of 1970. Beverly attended three years at School of the Ozarks, she finished college, graduating from Missouri Southern State College with a bachelor's of science degree in December of 1973. On December 30, 1972, Beverly married Joe Wayne Ramseyer at Zion Baptist Church in Jasper, Missouri.
Beverly began her career working for Montgomery Ward and Finley Engineering and later worked in the office of Barton County Electric Coop (REA) for 35 years, serving as an accountant, office manager and interim CEO, retiring in 2015. Beverly was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Lamar.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Ramseyer; one son, Nathan (Felicia) Ramseyer of Jefferson City, Missouri; one daughter, Jennifer Ramseyer of Liberal, Missouri; two grandchildren, Alyssa Ramseyer and Taylin Ramseyer both of Jefferson City, MO; one brother, Richard (Carolyn) Miller of Springfield, Missouri; and one sister, Mary Ann Henry of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother, Loyd Victor Miller Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Bob Henry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Lamar, Missouri with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the church prior to the service
