Brad Cass, 49, of Kansas City, MO, completed his battle with cancer and won the victory of eternal life, Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Brad was born September 11, 1962 in Lamar, MO to Billy Bob and Nancy (Phipps) Cass. Brad is survived by his loving wife Kim (Bowlin) Cass of the home; son Jonathan of the home; his parents, Billy Bob and Nancy Cass, Joplin, MO; Maternal grandmother, Mary Phipps, Lamar, MO; his in-laws, Conrad and Eyvonne Bowlin, Kansas City, MO; sister and brother-in-law Rebecca and Steve Obal, Tulsa, OK; brother and sister-in-law Carl and Lavon Bowlin, St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law Cliff Bowlin, Tulsa, OK; brother-in-law Craig Bowlin, West Fork, AR; brother-in-law James Ortega, Joplin, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Brad was greeted in heaven by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Helen Cass; maternal grandfather, John Phipps; and sister Amy Ortega. Brad attended Lamar schools and Central Christian Academy in Joplin, MO where he graduated. Brad's deep and abiding love was his wife Kim and son Jonathan. Family was his priority and richest treasure. He was also a very successful businessman and entrepreneur. With his keen vision and business insight he and his wife Kim, together with their business partners Jack and Anita McDonald, built Environmental Management of K.C., Inc. from the ground up. Brad attended Word of Life Church in St. Joseph, MO and Vineyard Church in Kansas City, MO where he was an active part of the Men's Bible Study Group. Brad was an avid golfer and loved the excitement of traveling. More recently, after being diagnosed with cancer, Brad spent tireless hours researching cancer and cancer treatment. He was part of Team Up Against Cancer and dreamed of educating those diagnosed with cancer. He had a passion to help others on their journey to health. His immense heart and glowing vision will be an enduring legacy.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday December 28, 2011 at Vineyard Church, 12300 NW Arrowhead Trafficway, Kansas City, MO.
A graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday December 29, 2011 at Nigh Cemetery, Lamar.
