Brandon Vaughan

Brandon Vaughan        Brandon M. Vaughan, age 31, of Lamar, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Barton County Memorial Hospital.        Brandon was born December 22, 1977, in Dallas, Texas, to Mike and Fran (Hooton) Vaughan.  In 1987 he moved with his family to Lamar where he graduated from Lamar High School in 1997.  He attended Missouri Southern and graduated summa cum laude from Pittsburg State University.  Brandon had worked as an industrial electrician at Jasper Products in Joplin and Epoch Composites in Lamar.  He was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church.        On November 11, 2005, at Lamar, Brandon married April Ambler and she survives, of the home.  Also surviving are his daughter, Chloe Marie of the home;  his parents, Mike and Fran Vaughan, Lamar; a sister and brother-in-law, Courtney and Donnie Dec, Kansas City, Missouri; his paternal grandmother, Pat Vaughan, Lamar; a niece Madalyn Dec, Kansas City; and an uncle and aunt, James & Marilyn Hooton, College Station, Texas.  Extended family surviving are Brandon’s parents-in-law, Dennis & Bea Ambler, Lamar; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Stephanie & Howard Morris and Beth & Adam Besendorfer; nieces and nephews, Allison, Austin, & Ashlynn Morris and Dashel Pennell, all of Lamar.        Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6th at Daniel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday.  Burial will be in Lake Cemetery.        Memorial contributions are suggested to Barton County Memorial Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
