Brenda Sue Miller

Brenda Sue Miller, age 36, of Lamar, Missouri died Monday, November 28, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Center, Lockwood, Missouri after a battle with cancer.      Brenda was born August 7, 1980 in Lamar, Missouri to Wendell E. Carter and Julie Anne (Heathman) Carter.  She graduated Golden City High School in 1998 and attended college.  On February 1, 1999, she married Lee Miller at Taberville, Missouri and together they had two children.      Brenda worked as a clerk at the Golden City Utility office and had worked at Lamar Head Start and J & W. Trailers.  She attended Golden City First Christian Church.      Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Lee Miller; one son, Dakota Miller and one daughter, Megan Miller all of the home; her father, Wendell Carter, Lamar, Missouri; one brother, Brian Carter, Lamar, Missouri; one sister, Christi and husband David Little, Nevada, Missouri; grandfather Bill Heathman and wife Mary.  Preceding her in death were her mother, Julie Anne Carter, paternal grandparents, Clarence and Janell Carter and maternal grandmother, Mary Heathman.        Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at Golden City First Christian Church.      The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home.      Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
