Carol Jean Nash

Carol Jean Nash, age 72, of Kansas City, Kansas (formerly of Lamar, Missouri) passed away January 21, 2024, in Kansas City, Kansas.

Carol was born August 3, 1951 in Lamar, Missouri., to John J. Griffitt and Bernetta Jean (Schick) Griffitt. Carol graduated from Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. On December 19, 1969, Carol married Phillip Lee Nash in Jackson County.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip; two sons, Phillip (Cindy) Nash II. of Belton, Missouri and Justin Nash of Kansas City, Kansas; one daughter, Jennie Harris of Shawnee, Kansas; four grandchildren, Cody Nash, Katie Harris, Shelby Nash and Nicholas Harris; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nash and Cooper Nash; one brother, Rick (Kathy) Griffitt and one sister, Linda (Jim) Nemeth, both of Lamar.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and one son-in-law, Kevin Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar with burial to follow at Killey Cemetery, also in Lamar.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024 prior to the service at the funeral home.
