Darlene Louise Bryan, age 79, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away on February 27, 2025.
Born on May 23, 1945, in Picher, Oklahoma, Darlene was the daughter of James Robert Bruce Farris and Dora Lee (Carver) Farris. On February 5, 1961, she married Jackie Lee Bryan, with whom she shared many wonderful years before his passing in 1982.
Darlene dedicated her career to caring for others, working as a nurse’s aide at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri. Her kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues alike. In high school, Darlene was a twirler and part of the girls auxiliary.
She is survived by her three sons: Jack Bryan of Fairhope, Alabama; Steve Bryan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Michael (Kay) Bryan of Webb City, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Zackery (Kayla) Bryan, Cody Bryan, Lauren Bryan, Madison Bryan, Malayna Bryan, Heather (DJ) Hybner, Kylie Lambert, Jordan (Dalton) Grace, and Kennedy Bryan; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Teresa (Bob) Kelly of Quapaw, Oklahoma, and her brother, Bruce (Judy) Farris of Webb City, Missouri.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Bryan, and her sister, Kay Klink.
A private family graveside service will be held.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Missouri.
