David Wortham

David Franklin Wortham, age 85, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Barton County Memorial Hospital.      David was born July 19, 1926 at Kansas City, Missouri, one of the three children of David F. and Oda (Boyd) Wortham.  He served in the Merchant Marines before beginning his career as a carpenter.  He had lived in California for many years and had made his home in Liberal, Missouri before moving to Lamar.      Survivors include his children in California, David Wortham, Jeanette VanLandingham, and Denise & husband Ken Wills; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.      A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
