Debra
Ann Yost, age 52, of rural Lamar, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009
at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
Debi was
born September 7,
1956, at Kansas City, Missouri,
to Robert and Faye (Soden) Lintner. As a small child, she moved with her
family to a Barton County
farm and graduated from Sheldon High School
in 1974. On February 24, 1995, in Miami,
Oklahoma, she married Vernie Yost and they
owned and operated Lamar Mobile Wash for twelve years. She then worked
for Focal Consultants, keeping records and caring for livestock at their Kenoma
location. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lamar and was always eager to serve in any capacity
necessary. Debi often volunteered at the Good
Samaritan Shop and had been involved in many Relay for Life events.
Survivors include her husband, Vernie and two daughters, Brandee Yost and Jenna
Yost, all of the home; a son, William Bradley King; three brothers and two
sisters-in-law, Ed & Rose Lintner, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Rick &
Gladys Rusco, Riverside, California, and Rob
Lintner, Lamar; three sisters, Bobbie & husband Lecil Fields, Rich Hill, Missouri, Donna Stewart and Carla Jo
Lintner, both of Lamar; many nephews, nieces, and a large extended
family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kimberly
Ann King.
Funeral
services will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Saturday, February 7th, at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will
receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Sheldon
Cemetery.
