Dixie Bergman, age 70, of Iantha, MO went to be with her heavenly father April 1, 2012 after a lengthy illness and a recent fall.
Dixie was born to George and Opal (Keltner) Sharp. She graduated Jasper High School in 1959 and married her high school sweetheart, Ron Bergman on May 30, 1959.
She was active in the Iantha Methodist Church and loved her church family as well.
Dixie had been a certified seed tester and office manager in the Barton County Area for 23 years. She worked at Wal-Mart in Lamar for 6 years before poor health forced her to retire.
Dixie enjoyed reading, gardening, and her flowers, but mostly spending time with her family and precious grand children. She will be remembered most by her sweet smile and kind heart. She loved God and her family and will be sadly missed.
Surviving Dixie are her husband of 53 years; one son Randy Bergman; one daughter Rhonda and Jim Yates, all of Iantha; two grandsons, Josh and Wendy Myers, of Carterville, Ryan and Sarah Myers, of Carl Junction; three great grandchildren, Eirelyn, Killian and Finnigan with two more to be born in November; one sister Eva May DeGraffenried of Sarcoxie; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, one brother Gilbert Sharp and a sister Mary Mevius.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm Wednesday April 4, 2012 at Daniel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday March 5, 2012 at Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Roger McKee officiating. Burial will be in Waters Cemetery.
