Earl C. Dumm, age 72, of Lamar, died
Saturday, January 9, 2010 at his home after a 2 ½ year illness.
Earl was born June 19, 1937 at Lamar, Missouri,
the son of Roy C. and Lavon Jewell (Scott) Dumm. A life-long Barton
County resident, Earl attended grades
1-8 at Ozark School,
and graduated from Lamar
High School in 1955. On November 27, 1957, at Lamar, he married the
love of his life, Patricia J. Moore. Three daughters were born into this union
of love; Susan, Debbie, and Diane.
Earl
leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Patty, of the home; three daughters and
their husbands, Susan & Kevin
Morris, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Debbie & Greg McGuire, Lamar, and Diane &
Darrel Phipps, Webb City; eight grandchildren, Kelli and Brian Morris, Chris,
Derek and wife Jenny, Mallori and Bryce McGuire, Kelsey and Jonah Phipps; and a
half-sister, Betty Alumbaugh, Henning, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents; a
twin sister, Marie Dunalewicz; half-brother, Wayne Gruver; and in-laws, Carl and
Mildred Moore.
Earl was a farmer and cattleman for many
years. He was a devoted member Oakton United
Methodist Church
where his greatest pleasure was to serve his church family and friends in any
capacity. God was his light and his
salvation!
Funeral services will be held at 10:00
a.m. Tuesday, January 12th at Daniel Funeral Home where the family
will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Oakton Cemetery.
