Elizabeth Maggard

Elizabeth Lynn Maggard, age 45, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Barton County Memorial Hospital.      Lynn was born March 9, 1966, at Kansas City, Missouri, to Joseph, Sr. and Carolyn (Forrey) Canseco.  She spent most of her childhood in Butler, Missouri where she graduated from Butler High School.  In 1994, Lynn married Frank Maggard and moved to Lamar.  Although health problems left her disabled and living at Truman Healthcare Center, she never lost her love for nature and being outdoors, and she enjoyed playing bingo.      Survivors include a daughter, Natasha Maggard and a grandson, Bentley Andrew Hall of Lamar; a brother, Joe A. Canseco, Jr., Olathe, Kansas; her step-father, Dale Shaffer, a half-brother, Rhyan Shaffer, and two step-brothers, Arthur & Kevin Shaffer all of Butler; two half-sisters, Michelle Thomas, Hume, Missouri, and Theresa Shaffer, Butler; a step-sister, Pamela Shaffer, Appleton City, Missouri; and a large extended family.      Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 25th at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday.  Burial will be in Doylesport Cemetery.
