Georgia Rose Heim
Georgia Rose Heim, age 87, of Lamar, died
Saturday July 10, 2010 at Barton
County Memorial
Hospital.
Georgia
was born December 4, 1922 in Vernon,
MO, the first child of Alois Joseph
and Rose Katherine (Jerik) Pruente. She
graduated from Verona High School and Draughon’s Business
College in Springfield, MO. She was employed by FHA, Farm and Home
Administration and was assigned to the Barton County Offices, located above the
Lamar Post Office, until her marriage to Randall Heim, December 26, 1946 at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church at Lamar and together they had seven children.
Georgia was an active member of St.
Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar Society, Sew & So Club, and Barton County
Historical Society.
Georgia leaves behind three sons; Tom and Era Heim, of Harvey, LA,
Bill and Bonnie Heim, of Springfield, MO, George and Debbie Heim, of Lamar, MO,
three daughters; Katherine and Joe Pace, of Lamar, MO, Helen and Mike Mallory,
of Glendale, CA, and Grace Heim of Augustenborg, Denmark; three brothers, Ralph
and Frances Pruente of Eureka Springs, AR, Don and Bobbie Pruente of Verona,
Missouri, and Joe and Marilyn Pruente, of Tucson, AZ; three sisters, Martha
Hodson, of Kansas City, MO, Alice and Harry Barsamian, of Wichita, KS, and Jane
and Ed Sheridan, of Warner Robbins, GA; numerous grandchildren, and numerous
great grandchildren.
Georgia was preceded in death by
her husband Randall in 2007, an infant son Charles Heim, and one brother Fred
Pruente.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Thursday,
July 15, 2010 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Lamar. Rosary will be 6:00 pm
Wednesday with visitation to follow at 6:30 pm at Daniel Funeral Home.
