Helen Mae Cole

Helen Mae Cole, age 85, of Lamar, Missouri passed away December 2, 2024, at Wildwood Senior Living Memory Care Community in Joplin, Missouri.

Helen was born August 12, 1939 in Dade County, Missouri to Jake Fanning and Annie Marie (Rice) Fanning. Helen graduated from Golden City High School in the class of 1957. On September 7, 1957, Helen married Harry Keefer Cole in Golden City, MO.

Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Finley Engineering and also O'Sullivan Credit Department.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Keefer; one son, Clay (Ashley) Cole of Lake Ozark, Missouri; two daughters, Jana Kidd of Joplin, MO., and Jill (Lance) Adams of Carl Junction, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Andi Cole, Camryn (Christian) Arndt, Jaclyn Kidd, Natalie Kidd, Landon (Katie) Adams, Jansen (Courtney) Adams and Kellen Adams; five great-grandchildren, Annie Adams, Maggie Adams, James Adams, Oakley Adams and Silas Adams.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Christina Kollmeier; one brother, Richard Fanning; and one brother-in-law, Nelson Kollmeier.

 A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jasper, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO., prior to the graveside service.
