Helen Pauline Harvin

Helen Pauline Harvin, age 95, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Truman Healthcare Center where she had been a resident since 2008.      Helen was born October 29, 1916, at Golden City, Missouri, one of seven children of James and Minnie (Duvall) Wright.  After graduating from Golden City High School, she married Paul Church Harvin.  They spent most of their married life in California and, after Paul's death, Helen returned to Missouri to be near family. In addition to being a homemaker, Helen was an accomplished artist.      Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and extended family.  Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: three brothers, Thomas Berlin Wright, Wilson L. Wright, Milton Wright; and three sisters, Erma Clark, Golda Ann Burkett, and Hazel "Kate" Boston.    A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2th, 2012 at  I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City.
