Irene Fitzpatrick

Ellen Irene (Holstin) Fitzpatrick, age 98, passed Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Hermitage Nursing & Rehab.      Irene was born September 10, 1918 in Pearsonia, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary (Sanger) Holstin.  In 1945 Johnny Fitzpatrick and Ellen Irene Holstin were united in marriage. He passed April 21, 2006.  They had two children, a daughter Marcia Joanne (Fitzpatrick) Hibdon and a son, James Lee Fitzpatrick. Both preceded in death.      Ellen retired in 1994 from the Chickasaw Library System of Ardmore, Oklahoma and was Librarian at the Tishomingo Library for 17 years.      Survivors include three grandchildren, Larry and wife Linda Hibdon of Platte City, Missouri, Julie and husband Bear McGuire of Wheatland, Missouri, and Paula Carpenter of Liberty, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, Nikki Hibdon, Zach Hibdon, and Sarah Perdue, all of Platte City, Missouri, Nicholas Staffieri, Kansas City, Missouri, Andrea Clark of Harrisonville, Missouri, Shelbie McGuire, of Weaubleau, Missouri, Tyler Carpenter, serving in the U.S.M.C, and Faith Juwor of Liberty, Missouri; nine great-great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Doug Hibdon of Wheatland, Missouri; a niece, Joleen Phillips of El Dorado, Arkansas, who has stayed in close contact and special to Irene; and several other nieces and nephews.     A celebration of Irene’s life will be 11:00 am, Saturday February 11, 2017 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Jasper Cemetery, South East of Carthage, Missouri.
