Jane B. Holl

Jane Blanche Holl, age 56, of Milford, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 due to an automobile accident.        Jane was born June 6, 1953, in Rush City, Minnesota, one of the ten children of Albert and Beatrice (Jerrow) Osterdyk.  She grew up in Minnesota where she graduated from Pine City High School. On April 16, 1977, at Brook Park, Minnesota, she married Robert A. Holl and they lived at various Navel bases before settling in Barton County in 1987.  A compassionate and selfless caregiver, Jane had worked as a Certified Nurses Aide in nursing homes in Pine City, Lamar, and Carthage.  She was an active member of Milford Christian Church and the Barton County Storm Spotters.  Jane had a deep appreciation of nature and was fascinated by thunderstorms.  She enjoyed gardening and had a special affinity for the dozens of hummingbirds attracted to her yard.        Survivors include her husband, Robert Holl of the home; three daughters, Samantha & husband Terry Garfield, Tabatha & husband Jesse McCuistion, and Roberta Jane Holl, all of Lamar; two brothers, Billy Osterdyk, Golden City and Earl Osterdyk, Lamar; a brother-in-law, Keith Klug, Milford; five sisters, Della Prescott, Jasper, Fanny Nelson, Jerico Springs, Gloria Schroeder, state of Minnesota, Mandy Ellison, Camdenton, and Ellie Osterdyk, El Dorado Springs; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jane Holl, Olympia, Washington; nine grandchildren, Michael, Chris, Kaylee, Justin, Ben, Katlyn, Aspen, Sierra, & Eric; four great-grandchildren, Kaylynn, Mason, Addalie & Gatlin; and a large extended family.        Jane was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Cheyenne McCuistion; two sisters, May Hintz and Jackie Klug; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Harrison.        A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Friday, August 28, 2009 at Milford Christian Church with Cliff Hazard officiating.  Music will be provided by Milford Worship Team.
