Jarold Eugene Clements, age 80, of Butler, Missouri passed away August 28, 2024, at Baptist Homes in Adrian, Missouri.
Jarold was born May 10, 1944 in Greenfield, Missouri to Ora Deigh Clements and Mary Irene (Divine) Clements. He grew up on his family's farm in Lamar, Missouri and loved hunting and fishing. His schooling through 6th grade was in a one-room schoolhouse called Forest Grove. He walked to and from school with his siblings and ate cold gravy sandwiches for lunch. He graduated from Lamar High School in the class of 1962, where he played football for the Tigers.
After high school, he attend college at Pittsburg State University. For most of his career, he was an insurance agent for the Combined Insurance Company. While working, he traveled across the Midwest and never met a stranger or forgot a name.
He raised three daughters and reminded them often that he wished they were boys. When all three of his daughters were in the same room, he could be found covering his ears. He complained that they talked way too much and way too loud. He also never got a word in around them. He did pass his sarcastic humor onto all three of his daughters. However, they did not share his love for the camouflage clothing.
Survivors include his three daughters, Nikki (Mark) Leisten, of De Soto, Kansas, Christian (Ronnie) Dennison of Adrian, MO, and Courtney (Neal) Tallman of Adrian, MO; eight grandchildren, Shelby (Josh) Hubbard, Logan Tallman, Zachary Shannon, Sheldon (Calvin) Romi, Mackenzie Leisten, Owen Tallman, Emi Leisten and Kaden Shannon; two step-grandchildren, Brantley Dennison and Braden Dennison; two great-grandchildren, Whit Hubbard and Rawlings Romi; one brother, Maurice Clements, of Lamar, MO; one sister, Sharon (John) Walls of Blue Springs, Missouri; four nieces and nephews, along with many other extended family members and family friends.
