Johanna Mixon

Johanna Mathilde Mixon, age 77, of Lamar, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her home after a long illness. Johanna was born March 15, 1936 at Esslingen, Germany to Carl Andes and Marie (Zeh) Andes.  She married Jimmy Watson in1956 in Germany and passed on January 25, 1990.  On October 21, 1991 she married Ron Mixon at Mason City, IA and he survives of the home.  Johanna was a homemaker and enjoyed needlepoint and had been an member of Friendship Needle Club. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband of 22 years, she is survived by two sons, Herbert & Donna Watson of Lamar, MO and Alan & Lynette Watson of Lamar, MO; two step sons, Steven Mixon and Connie Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO and Charles & Denisha Mixon of Herford, AZ; three brothers, Carl Andes, Horst Andes, and Erich Andes all of Germany; five grandchildren, Meghan Watson, Tyler Brawley, Brandon Mixon, Jennifer Mixon, and Sara Wiesly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and one brother, Peter Andes. A memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Galen Friedrichs officiating.  A private family burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Jasper, MO. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, December 20, 2013 at Daniel Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
