John Thomas Martin

John Thomas Martin, age 69, of Lamar, Missouri died Friday, September 7, 2018 after an illness. John was born May 15, 1949 in Kansas City. He graduated Liberty High School in 1967 and had earned an associate’s degree from Crowder College. He enjoyed listening to his police scanner and messing around on his computer. John had worked at O’Sullivan Industries. Survivors include his wife Claire Martin; a son Michael Allen Martin and wife Stephanie, Liberty, Missouri; a daughter, Stacy Marie Martin, Cabool, Missouri; two step-sons, David Edward Lamar Cox and wife Alicia, Clarksville, Tennessee and Jerry F. Edgar, Ashdown, Arkansas; a step-daughter, Sher-rE Bird, Mexico, Missouri; a sister, Stephanie Clawson, Lamar, Missouri and a granddaughter, Ava Marie Martin. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister Anna Lisa Boehm. Private family services are planned.
