Josephine "Jo" Ellen Dunagan

Josephine "Jo" Ellen Dunagan, age 77, of Golden City, Missouri passed away August 3, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. 
 
Jo was born January 15, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas to Willie Mark Ewing and Edna Mae (Neal) Ewing. On December 20, 1973, Jo married Sherrill Lee Dunagan, he preceded her death in 1993.
 
Jo was a housewife, who loved to bake, sew and crochet. You could often find her outside in her flower beds or garden and she also loved to fish and hunt. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy. Jo was also a member of the Barton County Eagles #4405. 

Survivors include a son, Roy Dunagan of Golden City, MO; one daughter, Heidi (Don) Kaderly of Golden City, MO; four grandchildren, Hope Dunagan, Hanna (Joel) Dunagan, Hadyn Dunagan and Gage Brous; two brothers, Pat (Sissy) Ewing and Mark Ewing, several nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Jan Button.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee; a brother, Willie Ewing and a sister, Ann Ewing.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Golden City Community Building in Golden City, Missouri.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
