Funeral Service 2:00 pm Wednesday December 22, 2010 Visitation 6 to 7 pm  Tuesday December 21,  2010       Joyce Ann Cody, age 66, of Lamar, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center following an apparent heart aneurysm.       Joyce was born July 18, 1944, in Bell, California, the only child of Bill and Maxine (Harmon) Millett.  In 1993 she moved to Springfield, Missouri where she worked in the Medical Field.  After moving to Lamar, Joyce worked at Wilkinson Pharmacy, Daniel Funeral Home and currently was the office manager for the Barton County Chamber of Commerce.      On June 28, 2003, Joyce married Walt Cody at their farm home which was a warm and welcoming place for family, friends, and her beloved horses, dogs, and cats.  Always active in her community, Joyce was a member of Iantha United Methodist Church and Methodist Church Women.  She was a member of Lamar Rotary Club, and had served as treasurer of the Arts Council of Barton County, PEO Chapter EP, and the former Atheneum Federated Women’s Club.       Survivors include her husband, Walt, of the home; her mother, Maxine Millett, Springfield, Missouri; three sons and their wives, Steven & Andrea Johnson, Williston, South Carolina, Dave & Natalene Johnson, Rogersville, Missouri, and Chris & Mikki Johnson, Huntsville, Alabama; a step-son, Todd and his wife, Annette Cody, Belton, Missouri; two daughters, Sonya Johnson and Josh Stever, Springfield, Missouri and Kimberly Johnson, Dallas, Texas; two step-daughters, Cindy & husband Stan Clements,  and Cathy Rawlings, all of Lamar; 20 grandchildren, Cooper, Maddalyn, Kerryann, Mitchell, Jack, Jesse, Zoie, Miles, Amanda, Alex, Willie, Jessica, Bailey and Sophia Johnson, Chelsea & Dillon Clements, Carmen & Cody Rawlings, Keirstin & Brett Cody; and five great-grandchildren..       Joyce was preceded in death by her father, William Raymond Millett.       Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22nd at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.       Memorial contributions are suggested to Iantha United Methodist Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
