Linda Bays

Linda Nell Bays, age 65, of Mount Vernon, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her home following a sudden illness.      Linda was born August 18, 1947 in Lamar, Missouri, one of the four children of George and Lela (Wright) Bays.  She graduated from Jasper High School in 1965 and had worked as a hairdresser for many years.      Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Bob & Ann Bays of Jasper; her sister, Donna Joan & husband Rex McMillan of Jasper; two nephews, Dale Bays and Dan Bays; a niece, Sharon Elliott; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.      Linda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lela Bays; and a brother, Don Bays.      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9th at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar.      Memorial contributions are suggested to Mount Vernon Veterans Home in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
