Luther Paul Vick, age 84, of Lockwood, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Barton County Memorial Hospital following five years of ill health.       Luther was born July 4, 1926 at Stilwell, Oklahoma, one of the eight children of Andy & Gladys (Fuson) Vick.  He was raised in the Pentecostal faith.  On March 25, 1950, at Van Buren, Arkansas, he married Geneva Vick and they made their home in California.  A man of many talents and abilities, Luther had worked at several different jobs, but considered himself a life-long farmer, raising produce and operating fruit stands for many years.  He enjoyed horses, fishing and deer hunting, especially when the experience could be shared with his son, Steve.  When Luther's health began to fail five years ago, he and Geneva moved from California to Lockwood to be near family.       Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Geneva, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve & Lizzie Vick, Lockwood; four sisters, Dena Daniels, Elsie Griffith, Vivian Nabors, and Elva Cuccinello, all of Fresno, California; 12 grandchildren, Scott & wife Jessica Vick; Shawn Vick and Taz Vick, Ernie and Liz Carson, Dee Dee Carson, Tess Simpson, Terry Carson, Shea Vick Jason Veins, Kaci Springstead, Mary Carson, and Roxann Carson; six great-grandchildren, Stephany, Stacy, Tiffany, Dustin, Ashley, and Dylan; and six great-great-grandchildren; Joel, Autumn, Aryan, Kelsea, Treston & Aden.       Luther was preceded in death by his parents, Andy & Gladys Vick; two brothers, Vervin Vick and Kenneth Vick; and a sister, Rema Hayes.       A memorial service for Luther will be held at a later date.
