Margaret L. “Marge” Williams, age 83, of
Lamar, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009, at Truman Healthcare
Center.
Marge was born November 30, 1925, at
Jasper, Missouri,
to Hale and Floy (Rudy) Tucker and was a life-long area resident. She graduated from Jasper
High School, attended Kansas State
Teachers College. She had
taught school and worked in retail. She
was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Lamar involved with her Naomi
Sunday School class and the Church Choir. She was a member of the Missouri
Retired Teachers Association and loved to cook and to serve others. Marge will be remembered as a Loving wife,
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
On July 11, 1945, in Columbus, Kansas,
Marge married Glenn G. Williams and he survives, of the home. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law,
Susan and Pat Anderson, Carl Junction; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick &
Denise Williams, Lamar; a brother, Jack, Oronogo; six grandchildren, Dr. Jeff and
wife Dr. Rose Anderson, Louisville Kentucky, Jennifer and husband John Koehler,
Joplin, Jessica and husband Joel Koehler, Joplin, Dr. Holly and husband Rev.
Brian Ford, Columbia, Joni and husband Matt Splett, Columbia, and Kelly
Williams, Fayetteville, AR, great-grandchildren, Will, Hannah and Jayson Koehler, Joplin, Caroline Ford,
Columbia, MO
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm
Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at First
Baptist Church. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, MO
The family will receive friends from 6:00
pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Daniel Funeral Home
