Max Williams

Max Williams, age 79, of rural Lamar, passed away 7:40 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at his home with his wife, Joanne and his son, David by his side.      Max was born May 30, 1933 at Iantha, Missouri, to Carl and Esther (Brown) Williams.  After graduating from high school, Max served in the U.S. Army from 1953 through 1955. On July 25, 1953, Max married Joanne Stone and they made their home near Iantha, farming and raising cattle for more than forty years.       Survivors include his wife, Joanne of the home; his son, David & wife Carrie Williams; four grandchildren, Cara, Jennifer, Lindsay and Joshua; and three great-grandchildren, Cadence, Max and Amelia.      A private committal service will be held at Iantha Cemetery at a later date.
