Maxine May Jeffries was born April 5, 1924 and died at the home of her daughter, Annita, Monday, December 24, 201, after a prolonged illness.
On December 14, 1945, Maxine married Kenneth Glenn Jeffries who preceded her in death April 27, 2003. She was a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church near Avilla, Missouri.
Maxine was the daughter of Dennis and Mildred Hale who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Annita, of the home in Sarcoxie, Missouri and Donna and her husband Dale Popejoy of Ozark, Missouri; a son, Scott and his wife Marty, of Ozark, Missouri; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28th, at Daniel Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Grant and Bro. Doyle Mayfield officiating. Ministry of music will be provided by New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Choir accompanied by pianist, Janice Rice. Pallbearers will be David Hertzberg, Stuart Payne, greg Needham, Tracy Ellman, Tom Dingman, and Travis Jones. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery near Jasper, Missouri.
