Nancy Ann Sorenson

Nancy Ann Sorenson, age 80, of Liberal, Missouri passed away November 23, 2021, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.   Nancy was born June 11, 1941 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Walter Leroy (Bud) Essex and Willie (Riley) Essex. On October 24, 1959, Nancy married Charles Clinton Sorenson in Liberal, Missouri.   Nancy was a housewife and lifelong resident of Liberal, Missouri. She loved cooking, decorating cakes, sewing and quilting. Nancy also enjoyed teaching Sunday school and singing and was a member of the Mindenmines Christian Church.   Survivors include her husband of 62 years Charles, one daughter, Kimberly (Joel) Dermott from Liberal, Missouri and one son, Charles (Doris) Sorenson of Jopin, Missouri, four grandchildren; Amanda (Dustin) Davison of Liberal, Missouri, Sara (Lindsey) Watson of Greenfield, Missouri, Tucker (Jess) Dermott of Wheaton, Missouri and Jacob Dermott of Liberal, Missouri, five great-grandchildren; Rowdy Davison, Kyle Watson, Riley Watson, Ava Lombard and Carter Lombard, two sisters; Linda (John) Shomin and Jerri (Jerry) Workman all of Liberal, Missouri.   Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Everett Vance.   Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Liberal City Cemetery.   Contributions are suggested and made payable to Mindenmines Christian Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
