Randy
Blaser
Randall Dean “Brillo” Blaser, age 57, of
rural Lamar, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Barton County
Memorial Hospital.
Randy was born June 23, 1951, at Lamar, to
Dean and Dolores (Turvey) Blaser. Graduating
from Lamar High
School in 1969 he farmed until 1971, then was drafted into the
Army and served in Korea
for a year. He returned to Barton County
to the farm where he grew up and was a life-long farmer. Brillo was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed
fishing, hunting, camping and trail-riding.
He was a member of Lamar Christian Church, Lamar Elks Lodge and VFW Post
3691.
On September 29, 2001, at the family farm
home, Randy married Becky Sinn, and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his parents, Dean & Dolores
Blaser, Lamar; six daughters and their husbands, Jenny & Joe Cackley,
Jackie & Kelly Duncan, Julie & Brad Forst, & Jessi Blaser, all of
Lamar, Kenya & Josh “Bubba” Addington, Oronogo, Missouri, and Jennifer
Marti, Lamar; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger & Ann Blaser, Lamar; three
sisters and their husbands, Candy & Dan Fields, Aurora, Illinois, Rita
& Bruce Wolf, Liberal, and Sheila & Rick Temple, Springfield; eight
grandsons, Trey Cackley, Cody, Lane, & Wylee Duncan, Ayden & Rustin Forst,
Kyran & Kyler Addington; a large extended family and a multitude of
friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00
a.m. Friday, May 1st, at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will
receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Brillo Hill
Cemetery.
