Rebekah "Becky" Long

Rebekah "Becky" Lee Long, age 63, of Lamar died Tuesday June 14, 2011 at her home after a lengthy illness.       Becky was born October 9, 1947 in Springfield, MO to James D. and Betty Jo (Davis) Speake.  She was an High School Graduate and on February 20, 1979 she married James "Bill" W. Long at Springfield, MO.  After moving to Lamar, she worked as secretary to Dr. Logan at Logan Chiropractic for 10 years.       Becky's hobbies included League Bowling, gardening, arts & crafts.  She was also an avid scrapbooker, where she did beautiful work for family and friends.       Becky leaves behind her husband of 32 years; a daughter Beth Baum and Ike Szajnfeld of Kansas City, MO; her step-father Ted VonWiller of Mt. Vernon, MO; two sisters, Pam & Bill Dusenbery of Wichita, KS, and Lisa & Rob Powell of Rogersville, MO; a brother Chris VonWiller of Rogersville, MO; a grandson David Baum Jr. of the home; many nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by all her family and many friends.       Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo VonWiller and father James D. Speake.       Memorial Services for Becky will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Daniel Funeral Home.       Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home
