Ruth G. Jones

Ruth G. Jones, age 89, of Lamar, MO died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Truman Healthcare Center. Ruth was born in Paris, KY on March 17, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Frankie Robbins.  On December 9, 1946, she married Benjamin Jones.  He passed away on March 24, 1988. Ruth grew up in Pawnee, IL, but she spent her adult life in Illiopolis, IL.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Illiopolis Christian Church.  She volunteered at the Illiopolis Senior Center for fourteen years. Ruth is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Nalma Wilson, Linda King, and Maxine Cox, all of Lamar.  Services will be on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10:00 at the Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Illiopolis.  Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery at Pawnee, IL.
