Shannon Haggard, age 44, of Lamar, passed
away Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at her home.
Shannon was born March 22, 1965, at Dallas, Texas,
to Jimmy and Geraldine (Maddox) Haggard.
She grew up on Cedar Creek Lake
in East Texas and was especially close to her
grandmother, Helen Haggard. From 1981
through 1989, she was married to Richard Leivan and they made their home in
Lamar. In addition to being a homemaker,
Shannon had worked at Page, Inc. for several
years. She was a talented artist and
enjoyed crafts and crocheting. Shannon won many awards for the fruit and vegetables she
canned and entered in the Lamar Fair. She
was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include the love of her life,
Kenny Denisar, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Samuel Leivan,
Lamar, and Floyd & Charity Leivan, Golden City; a daughter, Carrie Leivan,
Golden City; her parents, Jimmy and Geraldine Haggard, Lamar; two brothers,
Clinton Haggard, Lamar, and Dwayne Marshall, Rockwall, Texas; and three
grandchildren, Ryan, Keira and Loghann Leivan.
Shannon was preceded in death by a
grandson, Noah Albert Leivan.
The family will receive friends and
celebrate Shannon’s life from 10:00 until
11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25th, at Daniel Funeral Home.
