William Sanders

William “Bill” H. Sanders, age 80, of Lamar died Sunday April 5, 2009 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Bill was born April 14, 1928 in Dade County near Greenfield to Robert L. Sanders and Mary F. (Collins) Sanders.  He married Sylvia Ladwig, December 29, 1956 at Greenfield. Bill and Sylvia lived in Kansas City, MO for 35 years before moving back to Lamar nine years ago.  He was an over the road truck driver for 29 years. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, of the home as well as two sons; William H. Sanders Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas and Robert Sanders and his wife Kelley of Kansas City, Missouri.  Bill also has two grandsons, Shawn Sanders and Tommie Sanders; and one great-grandson, Alex. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday April 8, 2009 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lamar, MO.  The family will receive friends at Daniel Funeral Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the graveside service. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, MO.
